How do I pick the right level for my child?
Start with the grade your child is actually in, generate a worksheet, and try one page — that's the fastest way to see if the level fits. If it feels too hard or too easy, you have two free ways to adjust: pick a different grade and generate again, or set the difficulty (Easy / Medium / Hard) in the last step of the wizard. On the Teacher and Pro plans you can also press "Gentler ↓" or "Harder ↑" on a finished worksheet to keep the same skill at an easier or harder level. There's no penalty for experimenting — every worksheet is saved, so you can keep whichever version fits best.
Step by step
Start at your child's current grade
In Step 1, pick the grade your child is in at school (or the grade they're working at, if you're homeschooling). It doesn't have to be perfect — you'll fine-tune from here.
Set a difficulty
In the last step of the wizard you can choose Easy, Medium, or Hard. This adjusts how challenging the questions are within the grade you picked — a free way to make the same grade gentler or tougher.
Generate and try a page
Make the worksheet and have your child do a few questions. That quick try tells you more than guessing — watch for "breezing through" (too easy) or "stuck and frustrated" (too hard).
Adjust if you need to
Too easy? Try the next grade up, a harder difficulty, or (on a paid plan) press "Harder ↑." Too hard? Drop a grade, choose Easy, or press "Gentler ↓." Each keeps the same subject and skill, just pitched differently.
Good to know
- A child who's ahead in one subject but not another is normal — pick the level per subject, not one grade for everything.
