Who can use Lessonpress
Accounts are for adults 18 or older: teachers, tutors, and parents of K–5 students. By using Lessonpress you confirm you're at least 18 and that the information you give us is accurate.
Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity that happens under your account. Let us know at contact@lesson.press if you suspect someone else is using it.
Your inputs and student data
You're responsible for the prompts you write, any files you upload, and any student information you enter (for example, names in a class roster), and for having the right to use it under your school's policies and applicable law, such as FERPA. Don't enter or upload information you aren't authorized to use.
Files you upload
You can upload a photo or PDF of an existing worksheet or activity as inspiration for a new one. You keep ownership of anything you upload. You grant us permission to process that file for the sole purpose of generating your worksheet — we don't store it after that, and we don't use it for any other purpose. You must have the right to upload what you send us: don't upload material you don't hold the rights to, such as a page from a copyrighted workbook, and don't upload a student's completed work or anything that identifies a child.
What you can do with worksheets you generate
Print them. Distribute them to students. Share them with parents. Use them in your own teaching materials. The worksheets are yours to use.
What you can't do
Resell or redistribute our generation as your own service, use our output to build a competing product, scrape or overload our systems, or impersonate others to access the Teacher tier. Don't use Lessonpress to create unlawful, harmful, or infringing content. Every AI generation action — worksheet generation, translation, difficulty adjustments, study sets, mix-ins, remediation, enrichment worksheets, and teaching guides — counts toward your account's usage limits and fair-use ceiling. Violating these terms may lead to suspension or revocation of your access.
Review before you use it
We work hard to make generated content accurate and grade-appropriate, but it's produced automatically and can contain mistakes. Always review a worksheet before giving it to a student. You're responsible for how you use what you create.
Our intellectual property
The Lessonpress name, logo, software, and site are ours. These terms let you use the service as intended; they don't transfer any rights to our brand or code.
Teacher tier eligibility
A verified school email at a K-12 or higher-ed institution. We reserve the right to revoke Teacher access if the email is no longer eligible.
Billing
Teacher ($5/mo) and Pro ($9/mo or annual) renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in account settings; access continues through the end of the paid period. If you're not happy with a payment, email us within 14 days of the charge for a full refund of your most recent payment — see Cancellation & refunds below for details, including how annual plans and fair use are handled. After 14 days we don't refund unused time on partial periods. If we change the price of your plan, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect at your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you'd rather not continue. Applicable taxes may be added.
Cancellation & refunds
Cancel your Teacher or Pro plan anytime from Account → Manage billing; your plan stays active through the end of the period you've already paid for, then it won't renew, and cancelling never deletes your worksheets or classes. If a charge wasn't right for you, email contact@lesson.press within 14 days of it for a full refund of your most recent payment — no questions asked, one refund per customer. The same 14-day window applies to annual Pro plans from the date of the charge; after 14 days we don't refund unused time on a monthly or annual plan, but you can always cancel to stop future renewals. Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days. We may decline refunds for automated, bulk, or clearly abusive use. The Free plan is free — nothing to cancel or refund. Any billing question at all, email contact@lesson.press and a real person will help.
Termination
You can close your account anytime. Until you do, your saved worksheets and account data stay accessible and exportable from your account. Cancelling Pro doesn't delete anything. When you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms; where practical, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first.
Disclaimers
Lessonpress is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lessonpress isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $50 if you paid nothing).
Indemnification
You agree to cover claims, losses, and costs arising from your misuse of the service, the content or data you enter, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, notify account holders. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Disputes & governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. If something goes wrong, write to contact@lesson.press first. We'll try to sort it out directly before anything formal.
