Find who's behind and reteach it

Once you're tracking mastery, the next question is what to do about it. This is the loop from "my class is shaky on this standard" to a ready-to-print reteach worksheet — in a couple of clicks.

Open the Insights "Class Mastery" view and Lessonpress ranks the standards your classes are struggling with, worst first. Pick one, open the class's Mastery tab to see exactly which students need it, and generate a remediation worksheet — which can fold in the foundational skills that standard builds on. You go from a red flag in the data to targeted practice without leaving the app.

The Lessonpress Insights 'Class Mastery' tab — standards a teacher's classes struggle with, ranked worst-first.

How it fits together

  1. See what's struggling, worst first

Insights "Class Mastery" ranks the standards your classes are weakest on, across every class you teach.

  2. Open the class's Mastery tab

Drill into a standard to see exactly which students are below proficient and need another pass.

    How progress reports work
  3. Generate a remediation worksheet

Make targeted practice on that standard — Lessonpress can include the prerequisite skills it builds on, so you reteach the gap underneath the gap.

Common questions

How does Lessonpress know what to reteach?

It ranks standards by how your students actually scored, lowest mastery first. For math, it can also suggest the prerequisite skills a standard builds on, so you reteach the foundation, not just repeat the same task.

Is remediation only for math?

The prerequisite suggestions are math-only for now. You can generate targeted reteach practice for any subject; the foundational-skill hints are the part that's currently math-specific.
