How do I share a worksheet with a parent or substitute without printing?
Open the worksheet, click "Share" in the toolbar, and Lessonpress creates a unique public URL at lesson.press/w/... that anyone can open in a browser — no account or login needed. The link shows the worksheet read-only; the answer key is never included. Copy the link and send it by email, text, or any messaging app. To stop sharing, click "Stop sharing" and the link immediately stops working. Sharing is available on all plans.
Step by step
Open the worksheet you want to share
Open any saved worksheet from your library or from the preview page.
Click "Share"
Find "Share" in the tools alongside the worksheet (on the preview page rail, or as a compact link on a dashboard card). If no link exists yet, Lessonpress creates one the moment you click.
Copy the link
A panel opens showing the public URL (lesson.press/w/...). Click "Copy" to copy it to your clipboard — or click inside the link box to select it manually.
Send it
Paste the link in an email, a text message, your class's communication app, or anywhere else — it works just as well for sending a page to a tutor, a grandparent, or the other parent. The recipient opens it in their browser — no account or app needed. They see the full worksheet, read-only, with no answer key.
Stop sharing when you're done
To revoke the link, click "Share" again to reopen the panel, then click "Stop sharing." The link stops working immediately — anyone who tries to open it after that will see a not-found page.
Good to know
- The link is permanent until you revoke it — share it once and parents can refer back to it throughout the week.
- The answer key is never included in the public view. Students who follow the link only see the blank worksheet.
- If you generate the link and then don't share it yet, clicking "Share" again returns the same link rather than creating a new one.
- A shared worksheet is read-only: viewers can see it and print it, but they cannot edit it. A logged-in viewer also sees a "Save to my library" option to save their own copy.

Does the recipient need a Lessonpress account?
