How do I give my child a quiz on screen?
In the last step of the wizard, switch on "Make this an on-screen quiz". Your child then answers on the device instead of on paper, and Lessonpress marks every answer as they go — no printer needed. You can pick how feedback works: Practice tells them straight away whether each answer was right, and Quiz holds the score until the end. When they finish, the result fills in their progress card automatically, so you don't have to mark or record anything yourself — as long as progress is switched on for that child. It's off until you turn it on, from their page under "Settings", and until then a finished quiz has nothing to fill in.

Make a worksheet for your child as usual
Pick the child, pick a topic. Everything up to the last step is the same as a printed worksheet.
Switch on "Make this an on-screen quiz"
It's the first option in the final step. Turning it on keeps the questions to types that can be marked automatically — multiple choice and fill-in-the-number.
Choose how feedback works
Two options, and neither is more "correct" than the other — it depends what the session is for.
- Practice: Tells them right away whether each answer was right. Best for learning something new.
- Quiz: Holds the score until the end. Better when you want a clean read on where a skill actually is.
Hand them the device & review results
They answer in the browser — no login or app to install. In-progress drafts auto-save if they need to pause. When they finish, they see their score, clear badges for first-try vs retried answers, and an optional "Show all explanations" toggle for step-by-step reasoning on every problem.

Common questions
Does my child need an account?
No. You open it on your device and hand it over. There's no login for them and nothing to install.
How do explanations work?
On the results screen, tap "Show all explanations" to reveal plain-English, step-by-step reasoning for each problem — breaking down arithmetic, number bonds, counting arrays, or word problems.
Why are some question types missing?
A quiz only uses questions that can be marked reliably without a person — multiple choice and fill-in-the-number. Open-ended writing still works beautifully, just as a printed worksheet.
What happens to the result?
It fills in the "How it's going" card on your child's page, and it tells Next up whether to make the following worksheet easier, harder, or move on.
Can they retake it?
Yes. The skill level reflects how it went, so a retake after some practice is a perfectly good way to see whether something has landed.
